Contact + Hours


What are your hours?
Right now, we're open Tuesday through Thursday 10-6, Friday 10-8, and Saturday 10-5. These are subject to change depending on foot traffic, demand, etc.  

Where are you located?
We're in Pleasant Ridge, an urban and family-centered neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio. Not sure of the latitude and longitude, but we're on Montgomery Road 3 blocks north of Ridge Road, 2.5 miles south of Kenwood Towne Center, across the street from BP, and right next door to The Red Balloon Cafe + Play.

Do you have parking?
Yup. Plenty along the side of the building and in back that we share with our neighbor, The Red Balloon Cafe + Play. If The Red Balloon has an event going on and the lot is full, you may use the Walgreens lot or street parking directly in front of the shop. 


Classes & Project Assistance


Do you have classes for kids?
Yes! Children are some of the best students, very eager to learn. Ages 8-12 is the sweet spot, but you know your kiddos best, and if they sit still well and can follow instructions with good hand-eye coordination, then they're more than welcome. Due to liability issues, though, a parent/guardian must be present for the entirety of the class

Do you give private lessons?
Definitely. We get that sometimes you don't want to be around people, or your schedule doesn't work with our calendar, but you want to improve your skill. Private lessons cost $60/hour or $1/minute for one-on-one attention with no interruptions and no sharing. 

Can I stop by to get help with a project I'm stuck on?
Abso-flippin-lutely. Please come! We'd be happy to take a peek at your project and see what's holding you up. Know, though, that if you're reeeeeally stuck and your fix takes more than 10 minutes, we'll have to charge you a private lesson rate ($60/hour) past the 10 minutes. So, if you spend 20 minutes getting help on a project, you'll be charged $10. Make sense? Sweet. 

Do you have open knitting times?
YES! We don't want to conflict with class times, of course, but love when people drop in to knit! Feel free to call us to make sure we have table space available ahead of time, though, if you don't mind. We also have "sip & stitch" nights the first Wednesday of each month. 


Policies


What's your return policy?
Since we’re a [very] small business, we do not provide cash or credit card refunds on purchases. Receipted, in-store, regular-price yarn purchases must be in original unused condition and may be exchanged within 60 days of purchase at the discretion of the manager and shop owner. Wound yarn, yarn that has an odor, knitted yarn, etc, will not be accepted. Exchanges on items without a receipt or after 60 days of original purchase date will not be processed. Due to their nature, knitting needles, crochet hooks, books, patterns, cut fabric, sale items, clearance items, and consignment items are final sale—no exceptions. If an item is defective at the fault of the manufacturer, you may exchange it for the exact same item provided the item is not discontinued.

You don't have the fabric/yarn I was hoping to find. Can you special order it?
Potentially, yes. We have a 10-yard minimum for fabric special orders and 8-skein minimum for yarn. 

Can I bring my dog inside for a visit?
Nope, sorry. So many people, the owner included, have some serious pet allergies, and pet dander around yarn and fabric is no bueno. Thanks for understanding!

Someone gave me a gift card when the old Fibergé was open. Can I still use it?
Unfortunately, since the gift card was issued under previous ownership, it cannot be redeemed. We apologize for the inconvenience. Any new gift certificates purchased with "Fibergé: Knits + Bolts" on it, however, is considered valid and is redeemable.

I bought a Groupon years ago and never redeemed it. Can I still use it?
Unfortunately, since that Groupon was organized under previous ownership, we cannot accept them. However, you can contact Groupon to let them know the business closed in June of 2014 and they may give you a refund (fingers crossed). We apologize for any inconvenience. 


Other Stuff


When do you ship online purchases?
We ship orders on Tuesdays and Fridays, usually. If you need your items quickly, feel free to give us a call to make sure it's in the mail the next day. We're usually pretty good about that. 

I'm a local artisan/crafter. Can I sell what I make at your store?
A big, fat YES to you. Please send an email to info@fiberge.com, make an appointment to show your goods, and if it'll be a good fit we'll have you fill out some consignment forms. 

When will you have sales?
Whenever we feel like it! Or if things aren't moving. Sometimes we'll throw in a flash sale, and a couple times per year we'll actually plan sales. But, usually, not putting lots of things on sale keeps us in business, employees paid, etc. 

Wait, aren't you the Fiberge that used to be in Terrace Park?
Once upon a time, yes. The original owner opened her place in Terrace Park for several years, then moved it to Montgomery, then sold it to Owner #2. Owner #2 had it for several years, moved it to Vine Street in OTR, but closed after only 14 months. The most recent owner decided to re-open under the same name, Fibergé, but wanted to add modern fabrics, an eclectic selection of yarn, and wanted to provide a creative safe haven for the crafting world. So, yes, sort-of. It's the same name, but has a much different face. Oh, and a shop baby.
